1. How has your IT operating model changed during the last five years especially in the case of Data Integration?
We have moved from outsourcing our data integration to third party service providers to hiring a data engineer on our staff to address in a more timely, customized, and cost efficient manner the volume and timeliness of our data integration needs.Additionally, we have intentionally selected technology vendors and partners (such as VenueNext) that have more advanced data capabilities, including providing raw data extracts through API calls or other procedures that allow us to integrate the data into our data warehouse and connect it with other data systems.
2. How are you getting IT to deliver faster at your company?
Making sure we are aligned and in constant communication with our IT department is critical to ensure that our technology solutions are efficient. Additionally, our data team is constantly researching and identifying new technology solutions that help provide value and resolve issues in a more timely manner.

3. What do you think are the biggest obstacles that technologists face in working in a more agile and outcome-based model with regards to Data Integration?
Architecting data solutions in an environment where technological features and capabilities constantly change and evolve can prove challenging. For example, updated mobile app or software releases that introduce new features often times come with new data integration requirements or modifications that require us to be strategic, flexible, and have as much foresight as possible in our data management.
4. What set of skills do you think is required for the technology leaders to be successful in the new enterprise landscape?
Strong technical skills, including an understanding of big data, analytics, and most importantly the ability and willingness to constantly learn, grow, and evolve as technology introduces new solutions and ways of thinking.
5. Which growing/changing future technology innovation are you personally excited about?
We continue to focus on using data and technology to improve the fan experience through enhanced personalization and timely and relevant interactions. Whether it is using geo-location tech (such as beacons) or other technology to trigger real-time customer interactions that are informed via data (for example : sending a push notification via our mobile app offering coupons to fans targeted via predictive analytics) or developing new products that offer fans different ways to engage with the team (like our mobile only product the Fast Break Pass) we are committed to advancing our use of data.
